How Blue Technology Solutions built Carrot — enterprise blockchain infrastructure connecting real-world production directly to verified CO₂ retirement.
We were brought in to build the technical foundation for an idea that was genuinely hard. Make verified carbon removal as automatic and auditable as a bank transfer.
The carbon removal market is large, growing, and operationally broken. Corporations with real ESG obligations were paying consultants hundreds of thousands of dollars for manual work that produced PDFs, not systems. Credits were being bought on trust, with no reliable way to verify what was actually removed or trace it to a specific project. Believe it or not the accounting behind it all lived in spreadsheets.
Carrot replaces that entire stack. It is settlement infrastructure, deployed on-chain, connected directly to a client’s production systems, and built to retire verified carbon at the moment economic activity happens. Carbon retirement can be built into any business model, from a goldmine retiring carbon per unit mined to a travel platform offsetting every booking at the point of sale. No consultant required.
We designed and built the smart contract architecture, the AI-driven Carbon Impact Scan, and the registry integration layer that ties every retired credit to a named, verifiable removal project.
You just need to plug in and use it. The system went live in April 2026.
